Trellix Agent is the lightweight client that connects endpoints to the Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) platform. It enforces security policies, deploys and updates Trellix endpoint products, collects system properties and events, and relays data to ePO for centralized reporting and response. The agent schedules and runs tasks such as malware scans and content updates, coordinates remediation actions, and supports automated workflows driven by tags and policies.
Key capabilities include secure, bidirectional communication with ePO, scalable content distribution through SuperAgent/peer-to-peer repositories, self-protection, and wake-up calls for near-real-time management. Trellix Agent supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, and integrates with Trellix Endpoint Security, Data Loss Prevention, server security, and other Trellix modules.
